High Speed Train
As the key player in the development of the Shinkansen bullet train vehicles in Japan, Hitachi has taken part in all Shinkansen rolling stock projects. Tilt Train
Hitachi aims to achieve higher speeds on curves using existing infrastructure with a fail safe and energy-saving tilting system. With the system, car bodies are tilted at curves to compensate for unbalanced car body centrifugal acceleration to a greater extent than the compensation produced by the track cant, so that passengers do not feel centrifugal acceleration allowing trains to run at higher speeds at curves.
